Daily Affirmation: Innocence and Our Creator

Every single day, I grounded myself in Bible study, searching for order in the middle of chaos. In those sessions, I wrestled deeply with orthodox dogma. I could never stomach the pervasive demand that we must 'fear' God, nor could I accept the doctrine that human beings are born into this world as innate sinners. I believe wholeheartedly that every child enters this existence pure and innocent, corrupted only later by trauma and negative surroundings. Respect and reverence for our Creator, yes—but not terror.
