When I sit down with my children to share stories of creation, I always emphasize one essential principle: truth never has to speak in order to be true. That is the inherent power and majesty of truth—it resides in the stillness, living in the silence between the words. A lie, on the other hand, constantly feels the desperate need to speak, to dress itself up, to chatter, and to justify its existence.
